Rinke Smedinga (1963) was one of the influential advisers of the Dutch Government in the 1990s as for the introduction of the Internet, the EURO and the Millennium. He started in 2002 as an independent consultant specializing in the use of visual language by public organisations. In 2006 the Advisory Council for Science and Technology Policy (AWT, Den Haag) published an essay of Rinke concerning Open Innovation. The storybase for the heritage of the Second World War he suggested is now realized and part of the collection of the Dutch National Archive.
