Marc Pic founded and managed Advestigo, a French technology company dedicated to tracking of pirated multimedia content on the net, mainly on peer to peer networks, with innovative digital content recognition tools (fingerprinting of audio and video media). Advestigo has been acquired by HI Group last year. Previously he has worked for the french Nuclear Agency (C.E.A.) in the LETI laboratory, on advanced computer architectures. Marc Pic has graduated from Ecole Centrale de Marseille and has a Ph.D in computer science from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris. He spent his postdoctoral year at IRISA (INRIA - Rennes) and Indiana University, Bloomington. He teaches NTIC and Information Systems Architecture for Masteres in Université Paris Dauphine, Ecole Polytechnique and EPITA.
