Kristof Michiels is Digital Media Application Developer at the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen (M HKA, Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp), Belgium. Besides doing the actual programming, he is involved in setting out the long-term digital strategy for the museum. In addition, Kristof teaches New Media History and current topics at the Media, Arts & Design Faculty Genk (KHLIM). Before joining M HKA in 2010 he worked as senior researcher at IBBT-SMIT (Free University of Brussels), doing actual research as well as developing innovative prototypes in numerous e-culture-related projects. Kristof holds a master degree in Art History. His main topics are the impact of the digital on society (and the arts), the (mobile) web and the internet of things.
