Jeroen Neus
Jeroen Neus is a pioneer who links immersive gameplay to social media and education
Bio
Filmmaker Jeroen Neus (Utrecht, 1964) is fascinated by media. Trained as a filmmaker at the Academy St. Jost, he made different documentary films, most on the subject of heritage. In 2004 he won the “Toonbeeld trophy” with his fake-documentary “The tin-box of Wallsteijn”: for one day the world believed that moving images of Vinicent van Gogh had been found.
The possibilities of Internet and new forms of communication drew his attention in an early stage. He followed some workshops by Stefaan Decostere (CARGO) on alternate reality games.
In 2011 he initiated the first educational alternate reality game: The Leguans for the province of Noord-Brabant.
