Efthimios Mavrikas is a long-time semantic web consultant for the heritage community with an engineering degree from Imperial College London and computing doctorates from the Université Lumière-Lyon 2 and the University of the Aegean. Jointly working with tight multidisciplinary groups, he has assisted several galleries, libraries, archives and museums from their birth into making their mark in the heritage sector, while contributing work in semantic web research and standards development to the academic community, and integrating groundbreaking productions for various digital media. He founded Ad Axem LLC in 2009 with a pledge to support institutions in resource-constrained environments in improving their digital strategies, services and infrastructure, by leading them to invest in technology, to implement ICT-standards and to make use of tools that contribute to sustainable information services.
